Name of Class: The Price of Beauty
Class Date(s): Thursday, April 13th
Class Time: 6:30-9:00 PM
Class Description: Anything you put on your skin will get under your skin – including potentially harmful chemicals in many popular over-the-counter body care products, even the so called “natural” ones sold at health food stores.

Become aware of beauty care product ingredients to avoid and discover resources for healthier alternatives for your family. Bring your family’s current lotions, facial care products, shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, make-up and colognes, along with their ingredient labels.

Name of Class: Using Pendulums
Class Date(s): Thursday, April 27th
Class Time: 6:30-9:00 PM
Class Description:

Even if you do not understand how the pendulum works, just as most people don’t know the inner workings of a television or telephone, you can still benefit from its use. You do not have to be psychic to use a pendulum; there is nothing magical or mystical about it. Just as radios pick up information from unseen radio waves, the pendulum is a powerful antenna that receives information from the vibrations and energy waves emitted by people, places thoughts and things.

Join us as we explore the many ways in which this tool has been used historically and how we can use them today. This will be a fun, informative and lively class with lots of hands on time and instruction. Pendulums will be available to use during this class, enabling you to establish some experience with them. Bring an open mind and your sense of adventure!

Name of Class: Aromatherapy 101
Class Date(s): Thursdays, May 4th through May 18th (3 class sessions)
Class Time: 6:30-9:00 PM
Class Description: The objective of this class is to provide you with the knowledge and tools to safely and effectively use essential oils to bring about a higher quality of health and balance in your life. Kate will assist you in embracing physical and spiritual wholeness through her “hands on” approach to using Aromatherapy. “Scent” is a very powerful tool. It can stimulate the body, mind, emotions, psyche and spirit. Aromatherapy can awaken this often neglected, yet extremely important sense. Considered the “life-force” of the plant, essential oils work synergistically with the life force of the individual, furthering the synergy between humankind and nature.

We will be discussing and experiencing 19 essential oils. Handouts will be provided that include essential oil profiles and recipes for blending. Our final class will involve “hands on” blending. We will be formulating a personalized “body mist” and”skin oil” that each student may take home. Essential Oil Kits will be available for purchase.

The following classes are scheduled at Perfect Balance Yoga Center as part of their “Expanding Your Practice” workshops.

  • For fee and registration information call: 406-294-9643

  • Or in person: off of King Ave West & 20th St. West (directly behind Perkins Family restaurant), in The Stone Mountain Plaza, Billings

  • Web Site: http://www.perfectbalanceyoga.com

Name of Class: Stimulating Energetic Abundance
Class Date(s): Wednesday, May 24th and May 31st (2 class sessions)
Class Time: 7:00-8:00 PM
Class Description: “There must be a movement back to the land; what was once called “victory gardens”.  It is said if you want to harden a man’s heart, take him out of nature.  It is imperative that we reconnect with nature for our own well being”.

Session One
We will focus on “remembering” our strong connection to nature and re-train ourselves to welcome her energies back into our lives.  Our goal is to enhance our “wholeness” in simple, effective ways.

Session Two
The sense of smell is the most underutilized of our five senses.   “Scent” can stimulate the body, mind, emotions, psyche and spirit. Considered the "life-force" of the plant, essential oils work synergistically with the life force of the individual, furthering the synergy between humankind and nature. During our time together we will be experiencing through our senses, a selection of pure plant oils. Bring a journal to record your thoughts.

The following classes are scheduled at MSU-Billings as part of their Outreach program.

Class Time: 6:00-9:00 PM
Class Description: Open the doorway to abundant well being by learning to experience the fragrance of Mother Earth's plant kingdom. Scent is a very powerful tool. It can stimulate the body, mind, emotions, psyche and spirit. Considered the "life-force" of the plant, essential oils work synergistically with the life force of the individual, furthering the synergy between humankind and nature. During our time together we will be experiencing, through our senses, a selection of pure plant oils. Bring a journal to record your thoughts.

Name of Class: Face Care From The Kitchen  - For Mothers and Daughters
Class Date(s): Monday, June 26th
Class Time: 6:00-9:00 PM
Class Description: A perfect girls night out!  Beautify your skin while sharing FUN, quality time together.  Experience the pleasure of working with herbs, fruits and flowers. Demonstrations on how to make facial steams, masks and moisturizing oils using simple ingredients found in your kitchen cupboard or refrigerator will be provided along with handouts on natural ingredients and recipes.

Name of Class: Gifts From The Garden
Class Date(s): Monday, July 10th
Class Time: 6:00-9:00 PM
Class Description:

Fresh herbs are readily available at our grocers and summer farmers markets.  Many of us are even growing herbs in our backyard gardens.  Now, what do we do with all of this green bounty?   Join us as we learn the many ways we can use herbs like Chamomile, Lavender, Basil, Thyme, Oregano and even the berries from our gardens.  We will be making a selection of herbal teas, vinegars and oils. What we will make always depends on the fresh produce available at that time.  Working with Mother Nature is always such a surprise!  A recipe booklet will be provided.
